Al Clark, Executive Chef

Chef Clark started his culinary career at the Marina Inn, now Kahill’s Restaurant.  He ventured out of the Siouxland area to work in Phoenix, AR at Pointe Resort and Hilton Inn Green Street Restaurant in Colorado Springs, CO before deciding to come home to Sioux City.  Upon his return, he worked as the Sous Chef at Plums Restaurant at the Mayfair Mall.  Chef Clark worked in the Private Country Club arena as Executive Chef at Sioux City Country Club for twelve years.  This is where he honed his skills of communicating with the Members of the Club.  From these conversations and his expert culinary knowledge, he excelled at developing world-class menus and exceeding expectations for a smaller, more discerning clientele.  Most recently Chef Clark served as the Executive Chef for Centerplate at the Sioux City Convention Center.  With the Convention Center, Al was sent to represent Centerplace as Chef for four Super Bowls, three Detroit Auto Shows, two Orange Bowls, Notre Dame football games, and many more.  But he wanted to return to the more intimate and personalized setting of a Private Club.  We are very fortunate to bring him aboard at Dakota Dunes Country Club.

Doug Hausman, Golf Course Superintendent

With over 20 years of golf course experience, Doug worked with the Arnold Palmer Course Design Company to construct the golf course which opened in 1991. Doug and his staff have attained  the best course in South Dakota as rated by Golf Digest magazine. In addition, the golf course maintenance staff was given the National Environmental Steward Award in 2001 for conservation efforts developed at Dakota Dunes. Doug is a member of the Golf Course Superintendent Association of America.

Don’t let Jake’s calm demure fool you.  Once off of the golf cart, he spends his day working on the course.  He loves chasing geese off of the greens, moving bunnies from the flower beds and being petted by young and old.  He has been with the club for three years and works for kibble.

Jerry Zatloukal, Building  Maintenance Supervisor

Jerry joined Dakota Dunes in July of 2014 as your Maintenance Supervisor. Jerry's background and experience in various aspects of the service industry make him invaluable to DDCC. Jerry is an avid golfer, and absolutely loves Dakota Dunes Country Club. Jerry continually offers insight as to how his skills and experience can add value to the Club, and has the drive to ensure the Members of Dakota Dunes Country Club are provided with the best facilities possible.
